DB mindbox – Startup hub of Deutsche Bahn Group

Improve DB’s core rail business through startup innovation

The DB mindbox startup program was initiated in 2015 to push and foster innovations and digital transformation around rails, stations and trains. The program offers a comprehensive support package to young entrepreneurs who have a concrete improvement for Deutsche Bahn (DB). The aim is that startups and DB business units work closely together and develop a Proof
of Concept (PoC) which improves the core rail business.

Startups will get the opportunity to develop a prototype and/or test their product live in the DB universe within 100 days. On top, startups will receive €25.000 funding (no equity), exclusive access to DB experts, data & markets, professional business coaching &
mentoring and Coworking. After a beneficial collaboration, there is a high chance to build a long-term partnership with Deutsche Bahn.
