We empower successful start-ups from NRW to create global growth

With Scale-up.NRW, we help successful startups from NRW to create global growth. We are a scaleup community consisting of a broad network of exclusive ambassadors, founders and entrepreneurs, investors and experts. In the 18-month programme, which starts annually, the startups receive individual support for their scaling and internationalisation needs. In addition to mentoring, peer-to-peer learning and workshops, international contact points (soft landing pads) help with entry into new markets. The program is implemented by digihub Düsseldorf/Rheinland and start2 and is commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

We are vertical agnostic and support tech and sustainable startups. We support them by giving them access to our wide network of exclusive ambassadors and mentors as well as creating individualized 18-month scaling paths to help each startup with their specific needs.

Startups should apply if they have the potential and motivation to scale quickly and have the ambition to internationalize. The teams should not be in pure project business (any more), but should have an ongoing product business. The product should already be on the market and used by a significant number of customers. Startups must be based in NRW (UG, AG, GmbH, GmbH & Co.KG). They should have at least 15 employees who fill the most important positions and have sufficient growth capital through completed financing (≥ €1 million) and their own sales (≥ €0.5 million per year).
