Saskia Reuter and Aluco: Intelligent solutions for the challenges of the logistics industry
Sometimes entrepreneurship doesn't just come from an idea, but from the desire to really make a difference. For Saskia Reuter, this path began with a clear mission: to support companies in digitalizing and optimizing their processes. "I want to help make companies more efficient, flexible and future-proof," she says.
Her fascination lies in mastering individual challenges through creative solutions and creating real added value in the process. With Aluco, she has transformed this drive into a concrete business model.
Answers to the challenges of the logistics industry
“Logistics is a central part of our economy and faces enormous challenges,” explains Saskia. Increasing regulations, rising costs and a shortage of skilled workers are just some of the issues that characterize the industry. With Aluco, she is tackling these problems head on: “Our aim is to support logistics companies in optimizing processes and help them to position themselves for the future.”
At the heart of her innovation is a measurement system that records packages in the transshipment hall and provides precise measurement data. “This data enables automated route planning that organizes local and long-distance transport efficiently and at lightning speed,” says Saskia. The result? Time and resource savings that give customers a clear competitive advantage.
Driving sustainability through digitalization
For Saskia, sustainability is an essential part of Aluco: “We maximize the utilization of vehicles and reduce the vehicle fleet sustainably through precise measurement data and optimal route planning,” she explains. The result is lower CO₂ emissions and support for her customers’ ecological goals.
She combines digitalization, sustainability and efficiency in a forward-looking way: “Intelligent technologies such as AI and IoT have enormous potential to transform the industry.” With Aluco, she wants to use these technologies to establish sustainable logistics solutions and further optimize processes.
Overcoming hurdles: Lessons from the founding era
The path to entrepreneurship was not always easy. “One of the biggest challenges was taking on many different roles at the same time – from finance to marketing and product development,” Saskia recalls. She found support from mentors who helped her to build up skills in new areas.
Developing a strong brand also required creativity and perseverance. She was able to successfully overcome this hurdle through networking and targeted marketing approaches.
Celebrating and growing together
Saskia is proud of her company’s milestones: “From our first customer project to the finished software solutions that are used by various customers – we owe these successes to the work of our great team.”
She has big goals for the future: “I want to build a strong company, create more jobs and develop innovative solutions that inspire our customers.”
Empowering women in the startup world
As a founder, Saskia is particularly keen to encourage other women to go their own way. “Believe in yourself and your ideas. Use networks to find support and remain flexible, even if you encounter challenges,” she says.
For the future of the Female Founders ecosystem, she would like to see more promotion, targeted mentoring and better support in balancing family and career.
From challenges to opportunities
In difficult moments, Saskia remains true to her optimistic attitude. Her motto: “Every challenge is an opportunity to become stronger.” It is precisely with this attitude that she has built Aluco – a company that shows how to actively shape change and launch innovative solutions.
